Why Pintrest Is the Most Lovely and Wonderful Thing That You Will Ever Encounter in Your Whole, Entire Life

So a few weeks ago I discovered an AMAZING site called Pintrest. Many of you probably have heard of it or might even be members (if so, hit me up! I would love to follow you!). But for those of you who are still in the dark, Pintrest is like a virtual pin board.

You can observe or you can participate: Maybe you just like looking at pretty pictures. Perhaps you are in need of some inspiration? Pinterest can even help you with your dinner plans! It is everything to everyone!!

For example, I am a sucker for interior design. When I first got my account, I started a “Interior Design” board and started to “pin” pictures I liked from other websites that relate to this topic. I am OBSESSED with marking my favorite looks, furniture, and houses. It’s a great way for me to store everything I need and reference it later. Paint styles. Ways to display keepsakes. An amazing antique door that caught my interest. Pinterest allows me to keep it all in one place. Magic I tell you. Magic.

And those are just a few! I started out with 5 boards, and now I have 14! Some people have as many as 40. It gets addicting, that's for sure.

Why I Love BBC

So, for those of you that have Netflix, you may or may not have discovered the wonderful thing that is BBC television. I don't think I've ever mentioned the fact that I don't watch much TV (yes, I miss out on Glee and Bones and House. Big deal). I prefer to do other things, like read and hang out with friends. But when I do watch TV, I watch BBC shows on Netflix. And here is why.

1) Merlin. Merlin is such a great show! It is definitely my kind of style (I mean, it's MERLIN!). I love the action, the magic, and the actors! Bradley James is sooooooooo hot! And Colin Morgan is pretty cute too. For those of you that are bummed out that HP is over, i suggest watching Merlin to ease your sadness. It helps.

2) Robin Hood. I can't really see the need to explain why I loved this TV show. I mean, the answer is in the name. But despite the fact that I loved it, I didn't love it for the actual character of Robin Hood. I actually disliked the guy who played him (A LOT. GRRRRRRRR). BUT... I did love it for other characters. Allan-a-Dale, Will, and Sir Guy were all amazingly attractive and, by far, the best actors in the show. I also loved the Sheriff. He's totally mean and evil and does terrible things, but he was very lovable at the same time... I think he just had a bad childhood and is misunderstood. Well anyways, this show is definitely worth watching.

3) Dr. Who. Dr. Who is amazing. It is by far my favorite TV show. It combines my love of sci-fi with my love of adventure and good guys always helping people. So it's kinda like a mix between Star Wars and Robin Hood! (Okay, not really, but it's still awesome) Plus the Doctor is a TIME TRAVELER!!! What could be more epic? So far, my favorite Doctor has been played by David Tennant. He is so, soooo, sooooooo hot. I could look at pictures of him all day... Sigh... I am yet to see any episodes that have the newest Doctor in them, but I doubt he could be better than David Tennant.

I also suggest checking out Foyle's War and Bleak House. They are also really good. I just don't rave about them as much as I do the other three :P And I am totes looking forward to exploring more BBC TV in the near future.

Best Disney Movies EVER (Part 2)

Alrighty folks. Here's Part 2.

#11: The Emperor's New Groove. Llamas. That's all I gotta say.

#12: The Sorcerer's Apprentice. I love Dave. I think he is one of the best guy movie characters ever created. His voice, his hair... Everything. And Nicholas Cage is actually decent in this movie. Almost attractive, even. He looks good with crazy hair. Weird, huh. I'm not usually too big on fantasy movies like this (unless it's LOTR, of course), but me loves this one. I even sorta like Dave's love interest. She's not the typical hot n' sexy girl most movies tend to have. I like her because she seems normal: not abnormally hot and not ridiculously ditzy.

#13: Treasure Planet. Okay, so really the only reason I love this movie is because it's another re-telling of "Treasure Island". But Jim is really cool, too. Oh, and I love Morph! This is also one of the movies I watched with my best friend, and as a result it has become a favorite. There's just so much to make fun of! :P

#14: The Incredibles. I love super heroes. So what could be better than a movie about them? I mean, it's "a whole family of supers" as Syndrome would say (anyone? anyone?). I also wish I was Violet. I hope they make a sequel to this movie soon, 'cuz I mean really, who ends a movie like that??? NO ONE! Okay, well obviously Disney does. BUT THEY SHOULDN'T.

#15: National Treasure 1 and 2. This movie is so cool. It intertwines spy stuff and U.S. History, and is very suspenseful. The effects are pretty neat, and everyone loves a good "treasure hunt" that involves danger and intrigue. Plus I love Riley. He's such an adorable little nerd. Nicholas Cage... Eh, he's not so great. But he's okay in these movies. I'm super psyched for the 3rd one to come out next year.

#16: Enchanted. Disney basically makes fun of themselves in this movie. I absolutely love Giselle, with her innocent ways and impulsive dress making. I also adore Edward's ridiculously chivalrous ways. AND it's a musical. "Enchanted" is kinda a combination of every Disney Princess movie ever made, and has Patrick Dempsey in it... 'Nuf said.

#17: The Chronicles of Narnia Movies. I'm sure you are all sick of hearing about Narnia. Well, suck it up and get used to it. HA. So, I won't write much for fear of repeating myself, but I have just two words for you: Ben Barnes. Oh and Skander Keynes. Okay, I'm done now, honest.

#18: Up. This movie is so sad ;( I cry, like, every time I watch it. The first 10 minutes are absolutely heartbreaking. My English teacher even showed it to us when we were discussing emotional responses to literature. Okay, sad moment over. Besides being incredibly touching, this film is also incredibly hilarious. I love Doug, with a hot burning passion. I wish my dog could talk! And I am naming the next random thing I name Kevin. My favorite quote from this movie is definitely, "Kevin's a girl???" because my friend's name is Kevin and I always think of him when I hear it... Hehehe :P

#19: Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. This movie is so good. The plot is kinda complicated, and I really only understood it at the very end... So I watched it twice (I'm not retarded, I swear), but it's SO GOOD. At the end you're all like WHOA THAT IS SO FRAGGLIN' AWESOME!!! And Dastan is super hot. I love all the action!

#20: Tangled. This. Is. The. Best. Movie. EVER. It is BY FAR the BEST Disney movie EVER MADE. HENCE MY USING ALL CAPS. I mean, really! It has FLYNN RIDER!!! (Who I am gonna marry, remember? He's MINE) And FRYING PANS! And a chameleon!!! And an awesome horse! I could go on and on (and on) about why this movie is great, but I will save your eyes and keep it short. I love this movie because it's romantic, hilarious, exciting, classic, and Disney. You can't not like a movie with all that in it.

Ah, so now we have come to the end of "Lizz's List of the Best Disney Movies EVER". Tis sad. Now go watch all these movies!!!

Best Disney Movies EVER (Part 1)

So I watched "Mulan" today, and it made me realize just how many amazing Disney movies there are... And then i decided that this would make a perfect blog post. So here we go!

Lizz's List of the Best Disney Movies EVER (In no particular order):

#1: Peter Pan. Alright guys, now lets be honest: who doesn't love Peter Pan??? I have decided that I am gonna marry him. That way I can go live in Neverland. Move over, Wendy! There's a better girl in town! I could be one of the Lost Boys (a girl Lost Boy, of course. Shut up, it's possible)! And if I ever get bored of Peter, I could join up with the good ol' Captain Hook. Hook is one of the best villains ever because he's so... Not villainous. I mean, he tries, but he's just isn't up to par with guys like Jafar or Darth Vader, which makes him awfully likable for a baddie.

#2: The Sword in the Stone. Not many people have seen this movie, which is sad because it's such a classic! Everyone loves a good King Arthur tale! And Merlin is da best! :)

#3: Robin Hood. Those of you who have read my past blogs know about my obsession for Robin Hood (mainly Errol Flynn), so it is no surprise as to why I am enamored with this movie. Robin Hood movies of any kind are like magnets to me; I can't help but watch and love them, haha. And Robin Hood as a fox is just such an AWESOME idea!

#4: The Black Cauldron. Okay, now this is a movie that I am almost 100% positive that none of you have ever seen and/or heard of. It's based off a series of books called "The Chronicles of Prydain", and I LOVE THEM. So that's why I love this movie. The movie itself is actually quite dark for Disney, and I am surprised they made it. But me loves it anyways.

#5: Beauty and the Beast. This is definitely on my "Top Ten Favorite Movies List"... It's just so good! I love the songs (I know them all, haha...), I love the story, and I love Belle. I still wish that I was as pretty as her. The Beast is so funny, and Gaston is amazing too, despite his villainous ways. I prefer to say that he is merely just misunderstood :P

#6: Aladdin. Okay. I'll admit it. I used to be in love with Aladdin when I was 4. But hey, can ya blame me? He's so cool! I also love Jafar. He's such a good bad guy (Oxymoron?), and he has a TALKING PARROT!!! And oh yeah, Jasmine is alright too, i guess. But let's face it: Aladdin and Jafar are the best part. Oh, and the Genie. I love him too.

#7: Pocahontas. "Pocahontas" is also a movie on my "Top Ten Favorite Movies List". It's just SO. GOOD. John Smith is the bestest part, obviously, but hey, the rest of the movie kicks butt, too! I love the raccoon :) I suggest watching this movie with your best friend. It will immediately become your favorite movie.

#8: Toy Story 1, 2, and 3. I don't even need to say anything, these movies are just THAT good.

#9: Muppet Treasure Island. Now, before I explain, you gotta know that I love the Muppets. They are so freaking funny. Okay, that being said... I love this movie for two reasons: 1) Jim Hawkins is soooo attractive, and 2) me and my best friend became obsessed with it and have the whole thing memorized. Those are lame reasons, yes, but add the fact that it's a Muppet movie to those two reasons and it makes a little more sense. Not to mention it's a re-telling of "Treasure Island", which is one of my favorite books.

#10: Mulan. Two words: GIRL POWER! Mulan is like, the goddess of girl power. I mean, what's more awesome than disguising yourself as a man and joining the army to save your father, and inevitably saving all of China AND hooking up with an attractive man who may or may not be a ninja??? Nothing, that's what!

Meeting Robin Hood

This past weekend me and my friend Jeremy went to the Renaissance Festival. And... Drum roll please... WE MET ROBIN HOOD!!! It was sooooo awesome! But I do have a few complaints:

1) He was waaay too old! Like, maybe 40 or older! That's too old to be Robin Hood! Everyone knows Robin is young and attractive, not old and... Old! It was such a disappointment. But he acted like Robin Hood would. SO maybe he's just an older version of him. Hmmmm...

2) Maid Marian was young! If they're gonna make Robin an old man, why make Maid Marian a beautiful young woman? It's disgusting!

3) Alright guys. This is the worst part: He. Wasn't. Wearing. Green. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT??? Everyone knows Robin Hood wears green! EVERYONE. It just wasn't right.

But even though he didn't LOOK like Robin Hood, he sure did act like him. He was really nice, and very gentlemanly. My friend and I had dressed up as Robin Hood with white flow-y shirts, brown vests, and Robin Hood hats we made ourselves, and Mr. Fake-but-nice Robin Hood liked them a lot. He even let us take pictures with him.

So even though it was a lame representation of Robin Hood, I am still content.

Les Misérables

So today me and my friend went to go see Les Misérables! And it was AMAZING! I've never been to a musical before (though I love the music, my favorites being Wicked and The Phantom of the Opera), so this was an awesome experience for me. We had really great seats: First row on the balcony in the very middle. I am still super psyched about it all. The actor who played Jean Valjean was so talented... And don't even get me started on how much I love Marius.

So if you have never seen Les Mis, I highly suggest going. The music is great, the acting is great, the special effects are neat... All in all a good way to spend 3 hours of your afternoon.

I guess I can now check off Les Mis from my "Musicals I Want To See" list... Which consists of the following:

Close Seconds

So, here is my list of "close seconds" on my "Awesome and Amazing Fictional Characters Who I Am Gonna Marry" list, in no particular order...

#1: Westley. Westley is so amazing. He was the closest of all these "close seconds" to making The List. He's loyal, gorgeous, romantic, wonderful, AND the Dread Pirate Roberts to boot. But there one thing I can't stand about him: he is enamored with Buttercup. I despise Buttercup... I mean, even her name is awful! Westley deserves so much better than her! She's a total jerk to him in the beginning, she agrees to marry Humperdinck, she's annoying... And if you're read the book (you'd better have. If not, go read it NOW), then you'd know that she, well, not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I just can't see what Westley sees in her.

#2: Dastan, Prince of Persia. Dastan is awesome. I love the "street rat" aura he gives off, and boy does he know how to fight! He's like a non-cartoon Aladdin, except better! He is also attractive in a rough and rogue-ish sort of way, and very clever and inventive. I really don't know why he didn't make The List.

#3: Peter. While I am 100% a Prince Caspian fan, I'm not gonna lie and say Peter isn't attractive. He definitely has his moments. But I think what I love most is the fact that he's King of Narnia, haha. I mean, really! It's NARNIA. I'd marry the ugliest man in the world just so I could go to Narnia.

#4: Dave, The Sorcerer's Apprentice. I love Dave. Before I saw "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", I thought it looked stupid. I mean, I'm not exactly a Nicholas Cage fan. But it was a really great movie, mostly because the main character, Dave, is totally impossible to not love. He is so adorable! And I absolutely LOVE his voice! He is such a unique individual, and I am seriously considering why he's not on The List. I really didn't think his romantic interest was all that awesome, though. He, like Westley, deserves better.

#5: Aragorn. Aragorn is my second favorite character in The Lord of the Rings. He is really awesome,in the awesomest of ways. His fighting skills are impressive, he has a bit of a mysterious air to him, and he stands up for what is right. But that's about as far as his awesomeness goes. There are times when he looks super hot, but most of the time he just looks grungy. He never seems to be clean, and he looks like he may smell bad. Also, he's like, obsessed with Arawen, who I do not particularly like.

#6: Shang. Mulan is one of the bestest Disney movies ever made. Just need to throw that out there. Okay, now that that's been said... Shang is one of the best guy characters ever created. I love his condescending attitude, how he protects Mulan from the Huns, and his awesome song ("Some how I'll make a man out of youuuuuuuuuu!!!" Oh yeah. Best song in the movie). Plus he's Asian, and Asian people tend to be ninjas. He's also pretty good looking, and extremely buff.

#7: Jesse Tuck. Jesse should have gotten on The List. But I forgot about him. I'M SORRY JESSE! IT WON'T EVER HAPPEN AGAIN!!! *sobs uncontrollably* Ahem. Now that my apology's out of the way... Jesse is so perfect: handsome, brave, understanding. Plus, he's forever 17. So if he and I got married, all I would have to do is drink from the spring when I turned 17, and we could remain young FOREVER. It doesn't get much awesomer than than.

#8: Oliver Wood. Wood is definitely one of the lesser-known and unappreciated characters of Harry Potter. But he's SO ATTRACTIVE! Why couldn't he be in every movie??? *sigheth* Some people just don't get enough credit. So, yeah... I really don't know much more about him except for the fact that he is attractive, since he's not a major playa in the movies... But if he was, I'm sure we would find out that he is really the one who defeated Voldemort, and that he is better than Harry.

#9: Edmund. By now, you guys probably think all I do is watch Narnia movies and drool over the Ben Barnes, William Moseley, and Skandar Keynes. But I assure you that this is (usually) not true. I just happen to think they are all very attractive, very amazing characters. I even have them in order of bestest to not bestest: Caspian, Edmund, Peter. Now, most people don't understand why I like Edmund more than Peter. The reason is this: I don't know. Haha, sorry folks, but I really have no legit reason to explain this. So I'll just say why I like Edmund. I like him because he has brown hair and gorgeous eyes. I mean really, just look at those eyes! I tend to have a soft spot for brown eyes...

#10: Aladdin. Aladdin is like Dastan, except sweeter. I don't like the fact that he lies to Jasmine, but hey, it was in the name of love, so I'll soften my anger. I also love that he has a Genie, a monkey, and a flying rug. It's not fair for him to have so much awesome stuff! His hair is pretty cool too.

#11: Dimitri. Anastasia is (surprise, surprise) one of my favorite movies, and, quite frankly, on of the best non-Disney movies ever made. I love the songs, and I love Anastasia. She's a pretty good role model for younger girls. BUT! My favorite part is, of course, Dimitri. He's definitely one of my dream guys. He's super attractive, brave, and romantic! Wish he was real...

Top Ten Awesome and Amazing Fictional Characters Who I Am Gonna Marry (I am NOT delusional. Honest)

Don't you hate how there are no real-life awesome men around? I do. It just isn't fair. So since I can't have a real hero, I'm gonna marry a fictional one. Here's what I came up with...

#10: Robin Hood. At the bottom of my Top 10 we have Robin Hood. BUT! Not just ANY Robin Hood... Robin Hood as played by the incredibly attractive Errol Flynn. The character of Robin Hood is so romantic and exciting- something I cannot resist in a guy. Plus he has such an adorable little mustache! Very few men can pull those off.
Pros: I'd get to live in a tree house! And rob the rich to feed the poor!
Cons: He'd always be wearing tights...

#9: Luke Skywalker. No one ever gives poor Luke any credit; Han Solo is always the one girls drool over. But I think Luke is a great character. He's rather dashing at times. And he's not a scoundrel. If Leia hadn't been his sister, he may have ended up with the girl and been the hero of the story.
Pros: He's a JEDI. What more must I say?
Cons: He's a tad whinny. And gets his hand chopped off.

#8: Legolas. Oh. Oh oh oh. Legolas is beautifully amazing. I can hardly think about it, he's THAT awesome. He owns at everything. He kicks orc butt. He shoots things with his bow. He's an Elf. And he's beautiful. Did I mention that already? Legolas is one of the most amazing characters ever invented. Ever.
Pros: Just about everything.
Cons: I guess he could use a haircut...

#7: Han Solo. Before you say, "Wait a pancake-flippin' minute! You just said...!", allow me to explain. I did not say Han Solo wasn't amazing. I was just saying Luke has his perks too. Han is much more mature and experienced. And he's a rogue, which can be quite attractive in the right amount. And he has a ship. And he's very handsome. And he's pretty awesome with a gun. So I guess I'm trying to say that I love him.
Pros: He's amazing!
Cons: He owes Jabba the Hut a ton of moola. Running from bounty hunters on our honeymoon doesn't sound too swift.

#6: John Smith. Come on! Tell me he's not amazingly attractive for a cartoon character! He is just about as amazing as Disney gets. John Smith has great hair. And shoots a gun. And saves the Chief. And even after being separated from Pocahontas for like, a year, he still loves her (while she, on the other hand, forgets him and falls for the cheesy and ugly John Rolf. Did anyone else throw stuff at the TV after watching "Pocahontas II"? Cuz I know I did).
Pros: He's super loyal and wears armor! And is an explorer!
Cons: Um... He gets shot by Radcliffe... But he gets better! So no cons!

#5: MacGyver. Who doesn't love a guy who diffuses bombs, carries around Duct tape, and has great 80s hair??? I love MacGyver because he is good at everything. And because he always beats the bad guy, and is super handsome. And his TV shows never got stupid like lots of other 80s TV shows did.
Pros: He can do ANYTHING. And he's a perfect gentleman.
Cons: His hair got ridiculous by Season 7, I'm not gonna lie.

#4: Prince Char. I don't really like his character so much as I like who plays him. Hugh Dancy is very, very, VERY attractive. And he has an amazing mustache too! And he has a SWORD! And he uses it to protect Ella (who is played by Anne Hathaway. Who I do not like. At all)! He's so romantic... I love fairy tale princes like him. They are most wonderful.
Pros: Mustache! And SWORD! And he would use his SWORD to protect me in a most chivalrous and romantic manner.
Cons: He sometimes shaves, and no longer has a mustache.

#3: Mr. Darcy. I love Mr. Darcy. So much. He is beautiful and chivalrous and polite and is always trying to help people. His accent is super attractive and he falls in love with Lizzie (Lizz, Lizzie, same thing! I must be the one who he falls in love with!!! :D oh happy day!). He's also filthy rich. Not that that matters though. I'd love him anyways.
Pros: All of the above.
Cons: He's a tad shy. Which I find attractive, but could cause a few communication issues...

#2: Prince Caspian. One word: SEXY. Prince Caspian is the most beautiful man alive. His hair is beautiful. His eyes are beautiful. His mouth is beautiful. He. Is. Perfect. And I am going to marry him one day. Just you wait.
Pros: He's King of NARNIA. Which is the best place EVER.
Cons: He has a beard in "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader". Gross. Now worries. I shall make him shave.

#1: Flynn Rider. If you haven't seen "Tangled" get up of your butt and go see it NOW. It is one of the best movies I have ever seen. It has all the expected "Disney Charm", if you will, BUT it also has Flynn Rider (who is amazing). He is by far the most attractive, the most amazing, and the most adventurous "prince charming" Disney has ever created. EVER. And that's saying a lot (especially cuz John Smith is Disney too). He is witty, romantic, brave, daring, awesome, compassionate, and a whole slew of other positive adjectives that I shall not take the time to write. He is definitely worth of #1 on my list.
Pros: Everything and anything. And then some.
Cons: Nothing at all.
